Rilynn is the kind of person who’s quiet in a big crowd but turns into a whole new person around her close friends. She loves coffee almost as much as she loves her bookshelf, and you can catch her sharing book recs on her BookTok, @rilynnsreadingcorner. Watching her get mad is oddly entertaining. But her creativity and sense of humor always shine through. And of course, if you see her in the halls, she’ll probably be holding hands with her boyfriend.
Lexi may seem like that chill guy. However, she is very sneaky, for she likes to plot against her peers, setting her scandals schemes. In addition, she is not a force to be reconkened with. She is strong, burly, and jacked! Her passion, bears! They can be very much compared when it comes to Lexi and bears, they seem chill, and somewhat even huggable, but can attack at any moment. She has been a strong component to the paw prints, ever since she was poached from yearbook her sophomore year, and she’s been in paw prints for three years ever since.
The almighty Kota has been doing this for 2 years now, starting in 10th grade. Her reason? Well Kota has been doing this because she loves creative freedom. It gives her power to write about stuff nobody else does, things that are considered “old” or not normal to modern standards of entertainment. She likes dark purple exactly and is a huge nerd when it comes to movies. Her current favorite is Apocalypse Now directed by Francis Ford Coppola. She takes naps after school and when she isn’t sleeping, she listens to music. Her favorite band is Sonic Youth.
How do you describe Veronica? The Queen of the Labubu and Tacos. She is cronically online, and it can be sad sometimes. She understands almost any reference thrown at her. She can be very overdramatic...(send help) And even though she looks so cutesy, on the inside she is an emo girl at heart. When she isnt at school or doing theater, she's being A FASHION ICON at Allycat.
Hannah Noelle Bruno is a Patuxent high school senior who has purple hair and a bad attitude. Obviously, this isn’t completely true; Hannah is a very involved teenage girl who enjoys being hilarious and being kind to all. Yes it’s true Hannah’s purple hair does affect her personality; it makes her wayyyyyy cooler. The only thing I would warn you about it is her piercing blue eyes. I mean seriously you can barely have a conversation without feeling like your soul is about to be taken by her. There is also a very credible rumor about her hair being a portal to another dimension…somewhere with K-pop, Field Hockey, and Softball.
Alexis is a major silly pants that slaps people's butts and tells funny jokes. So, you better watch your butt or get slapped by her jokes. Alexis won’t stop bothering Cal with being with her every chance she gets by having 3 classes a day while following her around every chance she gets. Like how she gets with every man like up to six. So, Cal is Alexis side girl now, I guess. But she will always be in Mrs. Cass’s classroom with Cal telling Mrs. Cass anything and everything.
Cal is a raging Billie Elish fan. Chances are when you look at her, you’ll find at least one piece of Billie merch on her. She loves going to Mrs. Cass’s class and talking about her problems even though she has ten missing assignments. Hopefully she’ll do a better job keeping up this year!
Natalia Ennis, also known as tally t. She is a bubble of joy and kind to everyone! She loves herself a good 10-piece nugget meal with a sweet tea from McDonalds. Natalia is a varsity cheerleader, and when she's not cheering, she is spending her time taking a nice big nap. Her favorite color is red and her older sister Aaliyah is her pride and joy!!
Brianna Jones also known as “baby b” is a varsity cheerleader for 2 years in a row AND LOVES pickles and some sweet and sour sauce from McDonalds. When cheer not in season she is running and hurdling across the track. She has a little brother named chase and their bond is unbreakable. In Brianna’s free time she draws and colors. That all on baby b!
Teagan, also known as Teag, is a hardworking baddie. She's very talented with her amazing tumbling and stunting skills on the varsity cheer team. From head to toe, Teag is covered in green. Her room, car, apple watch, clothes, and so much more are all green. I think it's clear that she likes the color. Teag is very outgoing and is always helping others when needed. I think it comes from her job (She's Supergirl). That’s why she can flip like that!
Hailie, “Money” to the cheer team, is a beast when basing. She is so strong she could lift Barone. She is also fast, especially when she hears the cafeteria has chocolate chip muffins. If you see a flash go past you, it’s her running to get one. Money never passes a trip to Starbucks. Her favorite drink to order is a pink drink! Although she's as sweet as her favorite Starbucks treats, she has her moments. In those moments she chooses to give a forceful tap (she hits you). Don’t worry though she only hits the friends she really cares about.
Hailey Fischer is the textbook high school senior girl. She only wears pink and has a very addictive relationship with fast food. Even with the bright colors and every now and then cheerful attitude she is definitely one that you should avoid messing with. She hides a secret personality which will tear you apart in seconds if you aren’t careful. She will go crazy if you do anything such as breathe just a tad too loud.
Gabriel or Pete the golf captain Wagner is a hockey playing golf playing....hmmm.... interesting human. If you can call him a human. He used to be a creepy dude with very long hair and would wear a hat every day, probably to hide from the fact that he is a monster. He has since started to look like what he has always feared, normal. If you see Pete today, he will probably growl,but ignore him. He is probably mad about golf.
Abby seems like your typical high school junior. She takes many AP’s, plays a sport…wait, she doesn’t. At least not anymore, but there’s a reason. Abby had to quit field hockey to fulfill her duties as a superhero. Take a quick gander at her nails, notice how long they are? That’s because she is secretly Wolverine. If you ever see her in the hallways, stay away because she may scratch you. But do not fret, she only scratches on days that end in a Y.
Blake aka “Ba-Lock-Aye” decided to return to the Paw Prints Staff for his senior year. Currently employed at Outback Steakhouse...oh wait… he’s at Ledo’s now my bad, could be considered Rilynn’s little shadow. Just kidding she loves Blake all is well. When not at school he can be found running for fun, which is weird, or enjoying a nice spread at his favorite 5 star establishment, McDonalds.
David moved to Solomon’s Island recently and is bringing comics back to Paw Prints Magazine. He loves all style of art, and you can see his artistic abilities through the comics he creates in our publication and for the website. He’s lived in places such as North Carolina and Texas. He currently lives on a boat down on the island and has for the last year! When not at school, David likes to do a little bit of everything; watch his favorite shows, read, play games and listen to music.
William Wiley is a level of hero spoken about only in legends and epics. Whether he’s helping ducklings cross the street, holding the door for old ladies, or grabbing an item for somebody on the top shelf, Will is somebody who will always lend a hand to those in need. He likes long walks on the beach, thwarting evildoers, and a nice cup of matcha now and again. But the one thing that sets him apart from the rest? His drive and commitment to what he believes in. I would maybe vote if he ran for president.
As a junior, this is Hannah’s first time in Journalism (as she had no other option). She likes to travel and has been down to South Carolina as well as over to West Virginia to visit the mountains. Hannah likes to read Harry Potter and enjoys the films, as well (and says they’re better than the books). Her favorite color is red, as it’s the only color she likes.
Bridget is on the path to becoming a pediatric neurologist, driven by her passion for helping others. Bridget's ideal day involves staying home, taking a nap, and listening to her favorite artist, James Arthur. In her free time, she likes talking to her friends and she even claimed the title for the world's longest venter.
Terra loves to play softball, and architecture! She was born in North Carolina, and moved to Maryland when she was 4! She likes to listen to pop and county music. Her favorite artists are Waylon Wyatt and Hudson Westbrook! Her favorite song is “Broken Window Serenade.” She loves to play guitar and build things. She has two siblings, one older and one younger. She has two cats, a dog, and a baby duck!
She’s a wonderful junior from California. She plays the guitar and has a love for music! She loves to travel during the summer to Ohio and back to California. In her free time, she loves to go to concerts! She likes to go to Starbucks to get a pink drink when she goes out and wants something special! When she has some spare time after school, she likes to go outdoors, take walks, and go to the park.
